85 suzuki quad has spark but will not start?

the quad has fuel and was running but would shut off for no apparent reason while idling. then i would have trouble starting it again. now i cant get it started at all. it has spark from the coil. any help is appreciated

1. My son has a Suzuki 230 quad sport that does the same thing. It's just the way the bikes are. Try checking you spark plug it may be fouled out. Try opening up the choke to get it started and then let it idle with the choke on for about 5 minutes till it warms up. If you have a decompression lever don't use it, we never have any luck with that stupid thing.
2. It might need a top end rebuild (cylinder, piston & rings). Do you remember the last time it was rebuilt? - if no, then now would be the time.
3. It may not get any gas into the cylinder. I would pull off the plug and see if you can smell gas or see gas on the plug. If all else fail, push start it!
